This is the 2012 roadtrip for The Huggers(Sjur, Denny and their dog Fofa), from Tromsø in Norway to Aveiro in Portugal, in a VW Beetle 1300 from 1969 and a Sprite 400 from 1970. ;)(Go to 'September' , 2012, in the 'Archive')
And now we also share little pieces of our life after that trip.. ;)
We will hit the road again soon, from Portugal to Norway in our 'Little Beetle'.. :P

New roadtrip plan...

So, finally we have decided how to get back to Norway again for the summer. We will give Europe another chance, so we are driving. 

Yes you did read correctly: We are driving back to Norway in the same old rusty 1969 beetle.

 So, since the beetle has had no maintenence for 6000 km, it's time to get to work :) Most of the engine will be dissasembled and cleaned and given new rubbers and packaging. Hopefully there will be no horrible finds in the process...

So, the first thing will be getting some jackstands and find a few days of good weather, since there has been just rain and storms down here lately.

We will keep you posted on when the tuneup starts...in the meanwhile, here are some pictures taken here in Portugal...
