This is 'Little Beetle'.. :)
The beetle is a 1969 model with a 1300ccm engine that we bought from a woman named Julie in Trondheim. Sjur took the plane from Tromsoe to Trondheim and drove it home from there. It broke down once on the trip, and he was stranded in Fauske for a day. He was very lucky and got help from a NAF-truck driver named Robert. He hooked him up with mecanicfriends that got it on track again, as well as also towing the car to the workshop. When he reached Narvik(almost home), he was stopped by the police, as his dayplates had expired. Again, stranded, but with a campingplace just over the road, he drove it there and slept in the car. Finally the next day in the late afternoon he arrived and drove it to the workshop. There it was jacked up and the engine was pulled out for rebuilding.It turned out that it was kind of amazing that we got it as far as Tromsoe. A lot of hoses were missing, a piston and a cylinder was broken, sparkplugs were damaged etc etc.But now everything was changed and fixed...:)
